April 19 - UPDATES: GOOD NEWS!

1. Fixed the shot 5 rendering issue with the animator, Katie! Yeah! And successfully rendered out the new "AWOOGA" animation. So only one animation - shot  19 left to be done, and it will be done by April 21.

​

2. I did 2 crew call presentations in 2 compositing classes today. Even tho I didn't get any new compositors immediately, I got 2 new compositors through connection. Yeah!

​

So I just need one (more) person/me to handle the compositing of shot 5, which I might ask Nick again.

​

April 18: Happy but worried...

​

1. 3 NEW animation rendered out successfully, shot 7, 10, 11, and they are good to go for compositing.

​

The new AWOOGA animation of Shot 05 is perfect! But it has a rendering issue and I asked the new animator, Katie Klingner to look into it. Because she created 2 new 3D models and new rigs for this shot.

​

Shot 19, the new animator, Michelle Drouillard is still working on it.

​

So 2 anim to go. And they must be done by April 21 and render out by April 24.

*Delay:

SHOT 02: Jason-Kejian Luan hasn't finished/didn't do a good job on the color grading.

SHOT 12: Abby is still struggling with the technical issues, so I've given her one more week to finish the shot (April 22).

Shot 10 & 11 are waiting for compositing, and they are difficult shots. Therefore, I'm searching for new & better compositors. I need someone who knows what they are doing. 

​

And I've made a new crew call poster and stuck them at Monty. 

​

I will also reach out to Professor Stuart Robertson('s COMP class) to search for more new compositors.
